Nowadays everybody use the unlimited internet package for their mobile. In Malaysia we can get it as low as rm28/month but please remember not all area cover up that speed even you already subscribe it. As an alternative you also need to learn how to use application that don't take a lot of your bandwidth in area that don't have a good coverage. Remember:
No good coverage=Slow downloading speed=fail to load.
So as alternative for Facebook you can use this application(still in beta mode). Lightest speed, nice appearance(look alike Windows 7). Normally if i not in a good coverage area i will use opera Mini Next but the look is ugly enough, its like you see Facebook on Wiki version but at least you still got alternative for that. If i use Official Facebook for Android or Friendcaster for sure it take forever to load the data.
As for speed i can say that:
1- Opera Mini Next
2- Fast for Facebook
3- Official Facebook for Android
If the application already stable i will say bye-bye to Friendcaster.
