Phone detail:
Xperia Play r800i(root + busybox), 1ghz single core, 32gb Kingston mem card class 4, 160app+game+, Data always on, 90mb free internal space.
Problem: After install a bunch off application the phone start slow down and lag when playing game.
My solution.(First root your device and install Busybox)
1. SPEED UP MEMORY CARD
Speed Up Memory Card reading and writing speed. For me the best setting is 1024kb instant of 2048. Standard setting is 128kb. Refer THIS post to setup the application. You can test your read and write speed using SD Tools
2. V6 SUPERCHARGER
Install v6 supercharge v9 script. Use setting no 8 and no 17. Refer to XDA post to learn about v6 supercharge. Don't use any ram manager along with this tweak.
3. REMOVE BLOATWARE
Remove bloatware(unwanted default application. I delete almost everything but it's depend on you). I use Titanium Back up to do that.
4. SETUP YOUR AUTORUN APP
Install Autorun Manager Pro, choose Advanced Mode and untick the unwanted receiver. Accept for importance app like What's App, Facebook, Twitter, Email. Normally i untick the ads., billing and widget receiver.
5. OVERCLOCK
Overclock when playing game using SetCpu. To make this overclock mode appear you need to install custom kernal. Like for my Xplay I use Doom Kernal v11. Normally when playing Fifa 2012 I overclock it around 30% from default speed. This method is not recommended since it can shorten you processor lifespan. Some of the device need to unlock bootloader 1st before overclock. This is the tutorial to unlock bootloader for SE Xperia
6. REMOVE TASK KILLER
Please remove any task killer if you already install like Advanced Task Killer or FMR if you use android 2.3 above. It can free the ram but not practical(can notice that. You can read this in XDA forum).
7. ADJUST SYNC SETTING
Choose the best synchronize setting for your email, social network and others. For me i only sync my working Email and just check manually for other mail. Also for Twitter, Google+ and Facebook no need to ON notification for everything. Just choose the one that you need to use.
8. MOVE APP TO SD CARD
Move application to SD card using link2sd. I don't use 2nd partition because it's quit messy when i need to set up my device.
9. SETTING OFF ALL ANIMATION.
It's does'nt make your phone look like s***.
10. SPECIAL TWEAK
For Xperia Play you can install Xperia tweak and install the ENABLE GPU UI RENDERING . Another tweak i found in xda. The founder claim that this app can solve the lag problem too. HERE is the link.
